How WAEC papers are structured
Each WAEC subject usually has two papers: Paper 1 (objective, multiple choice) and Paper 2 (theory or essay). Some practical subjects also have Paper 3. Knowing how marks split across papers tells you where to invest your study time.

- English Language & Literature in English

A 6-week WAEC study plan that works
- Weeks 1–2: Review the WAEC syllabus topic-by-topic. Identify weak topics.
- Weeks 3–4: Practise objective past questions for every subject, one paper per day.
- Weeks 5–6: Full mock papers — objective and theory, under exam timing.
WAEC marking tips most candidates miss
- Theory answers are marked on points, not paragraphs. Use clear numbered lists.
- Underline key terms the examiner is looking for — the marker scans first.
- Always show working in Maths and Sciences. Method marks are 60% of the score.
